You’re not having STRONG results–are you sure you’re giving BIG? (Where to start)

Create Value (A note from my journal)

“BUT what do you mean? –GIVING VALUE is my life blood!”

Yes, it is.

BUT are you giving the value you want to put out–
or are you giving the value your amazing clients-to-be need?

I’ll give you an example:

Today I threw some whipped cream on a carrot and had this brilliant idea to share it with my audience who, as entrepreneurs, clearly care about such things.

Haha–yeah… the idea didn’t survive long enough to happen. (It was tasty, though.)

Here’s the thing–

There are a TON of amazing, insightful business owners out there sharing little things that seem fun OR the parts of their work they find endlessly fascinating… but that their people would rather scroll by. Oops.

I’m not saying never share those–just don’t share that exclusively or often.

Okay–so fun for fun’s sake is out, interesting-because-we-think-so is out.


What’s left?

It’s actually simple:

You’re in business to help–so think of ONE simple, really frustrating issue they have to deal with that you’re on top of.

Got one? (If not, search around or better yet, ask.)

Yes, it takes adjusting–

and the first time you try it, this will take loooonger. Bear with me. I promise you’ll end up sharing in ways that are so simple for you yet HUGE for your audience.


What’s one way you could help them get through this issue? 

In my tutoring business, I accidentally got one of my favorite clients by listening to other moms in our parent group. Just as much as I avoid parent discussions about cutting crusts off sandwiches, I LOVE conversations about raising independent, strong-minded kids. So I can’t help but listen for understanding and then give ideas in response to questions. (NOT unsolicited advice.)

In my work helping entrepreneurs create systems that make business flow I realized I should have been sharing my systems. Yesterday.

No time like now! It has never felt like an option because my first systems were what I’ll call struggle systems (they, er, didn’t work). Artful, flowy systems crept up on me–and to save you some trial and error, I’ll share them with you here.

  1. I’d like to add, in addition to Giving Big, Give Irreplaceably.
    By taking available information and submitting it to a documented personal test, you now have something NO ONE else can share in quite the same way you can.
    Giving is like milk. Giving Irreplaceably turns that milk into yogurt or cheese or kefir.
    Adding your own extra effort to your information by creating a case study or live experiment adds flavor, form and usefulness.
